Bio
Elisabeth Gault
After early training as a silversmith at the École Boulle (engraving on steel), he continued his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris (photography, installations, and sculpture).
But it was above all his immersion at a very young age in both popular and avant-garde graphic and cinematographic culture (Metal Hurlant, Hara-kiri, La Planète Sauvage and Tetsuo) and a classical culture of Western art history (mainly antiquity, the Italian Renaissance and Rococo) that had a lasting influence on the artist's imagination.
A childhood steeped in nature and the destruction of the last “wild” islands in the Paris suburbs sparked an ecological and political awareness. These concerns, which are highly topical, have since become intertwined with his artistic exploration.
Born on November 18, 1971, in the Paris suburbs.
1986-1991 Ecole Boulle: DMA - Diploma in Applied Arts.
1991-1997 Beaux-Arts de Paris: DNSAP - National Higher Diploma in Fine Arts.
